A community of conservative Christian Romanian immigrants from Arizona fears that the socialism they experienced under Ceausescu’s regime before 1989 is making a comeback in their new home, the US.
Pastor and poet Petru Lascau rails against “sexo-Marxism” and the “new world order” to hundreds of parishioners at the Elim Pentecostal Romanian Church in Arizona and to his 12,000 followers on Facebook. Angelica Leahu homeschools her 12 year old son, like many parents that attend the same church, as she doesn't want him to be contaminated by the liberal “agenda” taught in public schools. Republican politician Ben Toma implements conservative values, including banning abortion, as the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Arizona.
Two young Romanian women - one documentarist and a journalist - open a dialogue with the community, while debating among themselves the ethics and the reasons behind their work.
