During her teacher training studies (Music and Biology), she began working autodidactically in documentary filmmaking. With her feature-length documentary RICH BROTHER, she won the Golden Dove at the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film DOK Leipzig in 2009. After participating in the Berlinale Talent Campus, she graduated at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne 2011 with a feature film. Since 2003, she has been working as a freelance documentary filmmaker and radio feature producer, focusing on social and political issues. Her current project addresses human rights at Europe's external borders. Supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the project is currently in development.
