Elena Brunello

Elena Brunello was born in Milan in 1987 and graduated at The University of Edinburgh in United States Literature. She is a journalist, documentary director, and producer. After an experience as a volunteer on the Greek island of Leros, she started to explore the topic of migrations from an artistic and journalistic point of view. In 2018 she produced her first documentary, Bee My Job, telling the story of a Senegalese political refugee who now works as a beekeeper in Italy. In 2019 she directed her second documentary, The Climate Limbo, that explores the links between climate change and human migrations. The Climate Limbo premiered at several international film festivals and was screened in more than 20 countries worldwide. She is also a programmer and outreach coordinator for The Video Consortium, the biggest non-fiction filmmakers community in the world.
