Beginning in Belgium at a former coal mine, the film follows a personal journey across Europe through three interwoven character stories. In France, we accompany M. Petit, an environmental leader caught between her region's mining past and its potential lithium mining future. Her daily work reveals the complex negotiations between preservation and development. In Portugal's Covas do Barroso, we follow P. Fernandes Lopes, a farmer whose agricultural practices face disruption from mining prospection. Through the changing seasons, we witness his community's determination to maintain their ancestral connection to the land. In Serbia, scientist A. Milić documents her region's transformation through social media, building a digital archive of resistance and alternative futures. Her story bridges traditional environmental activism with new forms of mobilization. The narrative unfolds through 4 seasons, ending where it began in Belgium, reflecting on cycles of exploitation and regeneration.
