Out of Bounds

In Glasgow, a student sets out to uncover the colonial roots of sexual shame, expecting nothing more than dusty archives. A chance encounter with Anna, a local woman who can hear the ghosts haunting the building where the student now lives, shatters that illusion and makes them question how history might be known beyond what the archive conceals. Their unlikely friendship grows as they listen to voices never meant to be heard, unraveling the hidden lives of women who defied respectability and were confined in the Lock Hospital, subjected to medical experimentation in the name of care. Together, they confront the forces of regulation and control that still scar the present.
