We Animals

Rosina, a 26-year-old influencer, deeply connects with animals. In a rural German village she shares her home with rescued cattle, pigs, geese, and goats, revealing profound bonds between humans and "farm animals" through social media. An integral part of an animal group, Rosina relies on heightened group senses during forest walks and interacts with hikers to promote animal equality. But her sanctuary turns into a battleground of perspectives; popular animal videos face growing opposition. On her parents' farm, space is scant. Rosina's mother, Inga, fostering children, contrasts with Rosina's approach. Aware of local observers, Rosina treads the line between passion and the law. Amid rising pressures, she dreams of Sweden, escaping societal limits. "We Animals" delves into human-animal connections' complexity, their profound impact, and new avenues for growth and challenge for Rosina and those she encounters.
