Anna M. Bofarull

Writer, director and producer based in Barcelona, Anna M. Bofarull studied cinema and human sciences in Barcelona and Paris. She is Berlinale Talents, Sources 2, Torino Film Lab, Midpoint Institute and EWA Mentoring alumni. In 2007 she established her production company, KaBoGa, focusing on creative fiction features and documentaries.
Her feature documentaries FOOTNOTES (2009) and HAMMADA (2010) and her feature fictions SONATA FOR CELLO (2015) and BARCELONA 1714 (2019) have been awarded and screened at festivals worldwide including Montréal, Sao Paulo, Thessaloniki, Valladolid, Reykjavik and Gijón. Anna has currently finished the feature film SINJAR, a coproduction with Genius at Large (USA) selected at L’Atélier-Cinéfondation in Cannes 2019 and awarded at European Work in Progress Cologne 2020. She is currently working on her next feature documentary, FAKE LIES, a coproduction with Cvinger Film (Slovenia).
