Seemab Gul

Seemab Gul is a British-Pakistani filmmaker with a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. Her work is immersed in political dialogue and often focuses on the outsider experience. Her films have been commissioned by Channel 4, CBA WorldView and Arts Council England. Her latest documentary ‘Zahida’ will premiere at DokLeipzig, broadcast on Al Jazeera and it’s trailer has over 8.5 million views. Seemab’s works have premiered in HotDocs, SXSW, Sheffield Doc Fest, Geneva Contemporary Art Centre and many international festivals and galleries. She’s an alumni of various international documentary workshops; UnionDocs, AniDox, Locarno Open Doors Producer’s Lab and Berlinale Talents. Missing Raza is her debut feature documentary.
