As an independent documentary filmmaker I carried out some documentaries on international cooperation projects and volunteer work in the Balkans, Brazil and Palestine for a few years. In 2005 I made “Souvenir Srebrenica”, a documentary about the genocide in Bosnia. I then worked for 10 years as a tv reporter on talk shows such as Annozero and Virus (both on Rai 2) and Piazzapulita on la7. I told stories on the italian economic crisis, the trash emergency in Campania and the ecological drama of Ilva industries in Taranto. I made an investigative report on sexual abuses in the clergy. I talked about immigration stories during the arab revolutions in Tunisia and in Lampedusa. I am now focused on international stories such as the ISIS recruitment in Tunisia and the curfews in turkish Kurdistan. In 2015 I was the host of “Evolution”, introducing documentaries about the social and cultural changes in Italian history. Meanwhile I am teaching filmmaking to Rai employees.
