Renate Ranzi
IDM Film & Music Commission Südtirol (IT)

Renate Ranzi has been the Head of IDM Film & Music Commission Südtirol since May 2025. She joined IDM in 2016, contributing to the sustainable development of the local film and creative industry. From 2018 until 2020, she was also in charge of the IDM department, fostering creative industries. Before taking the lead of the Film & Music Commission, she served for 8 years as Location Development Coordinator, making a strong contribution to the development of South Tyrol as a film location. Renate graduated in International Development from the University of Vienna and the Université de Genève, specialising in human rights and migration. She then pursued her passion for photography and art at the Friedl Kubelka Photography School and the Fine Arts Academy in Vienna. She also worked in several production and scenography departments.
